The School of Music of the Banda Primitiva of Llíria was born with the foundation of the band in the early days. Initially, the students attended solfeig and basic music theory classes. When the students reached a certain level of proficiency, they were assigned the instrument best suited to their individual characteristics. When the director considered it appropriate, the student became an official member of the band, contributing to its legacy.

Between 1951 and 1953, it was organized in a similar way to the Conservatories, with global examinations, in which some professors from the Conservatory of Music of Valencia participated as invited guests.

This system lasted until the 83-84 academic year. From that moment on, the School of Music became an “unofficial recognized Center for Musical Education, Banda Primitiva”, by decree. In this center students were trained to join the band and to dedicate themselves professionally to music. This made it possible, and still does, to begin musical studies without having to move to Valencia.

Currently, the School of Music offers from elementary education to instrumental improvement courses at all levels: classes for adults, Musical Garden, initiation and preparatory for the youngest; and even complementary piano.
