What types of cookies exist?

- Affiliate cookies: They allow tracking of visits from other websites with which a specific site has commercial or collaborative links.
- Technical cookies: These are strictly necessary for the use of certain websites.
- Persistent or stored cookies: These remain on your device after closing the browser (Internet Explorer, developed by Microsoft). Websites use them to store information, such as your username and password, so you don’t have to log in every time you visit a specific site. Persistent cookies can remain on the device for days, months, or even years.
- Advertising or third-party cookies: These are responsible for collecting information about users’ preferences and personal choices on websites. They target advertising networks that use the data to later display personalized ads on other websites.
- Social cookies: Used for interactions with external social networks (Twitter, Facebook, Google, Pinterest, etc.). Their function is to manage interaction with social widgets on the pages. This type of cookie is used on domains such as facebook.com, twitter.com, or google.com.
- Functional cookies: These are strictly necessary to provide the services requested by users on certain e-commerce or service websites.
